Hi friends! Hope you are having a great day :)
For today's post, I've created a Grungy Art Journal Spread titled,
"This Happy Life".
Art Journalling is a great way to make art for yourself without any worry or fear. It is a fun way to try out new products, try new compositions, express your emotions and just enjoy the process.

I've used some gorgeous Fantasy Dies & Chipboards on my project.
I've created a Step-by-Step Pictorial of the process :)
Fantasy Dies Used: "Гирлянда - нити", "Волшебное кружево", "Решетка с кружочками 3", "Сетка шестигранная", "Капельник 1", "Мимоза", "Ажурная решетка", "Новогодняя звезда", "Поздравление".
Step-by-Step Pictorial:
Step 1: I'm doing art journalling in an old book, so I stick 2 pages together to make them thicker and then to prepare the pages for mixed media work, apply clear gesso. Then a light coat of white gesso to push the text into the background.
Step 2: Created die cuts with black and white cardstock using multiple Fantasy Dies.
Step 3: To create background texture adhered die cuts to the pages using matte gel and a brush.
Step 4: Used a Fantasy die cut as a stencil and applied Light Paste through it onto the pages using a palette knife. This creates additional texture and interest and is another fun way to use Fantasy's beautiful dies :)
Step 5: Added color to the pages in hues of blues and greens using Lindy's Gang Sprays and a brush. Sprayed with water to create movement & then dried the pages.
Step 6: To reclaim some of the white space, applied white gesso to some of the areas and darkened the edges of the pages with black archival ink.
Step 7: Stamped onto the pages using a text stamp and archival ink and then create ink splatter with a small brush and Lindy's Sprays.
Step 8: Adhered Fantasy's beautiful chipboards, Tim Holtz stickers and a few die cuts to the pages using a strong glue. (I changed my mind and added a red bird to the pages instead of the blue flowers as it was a more striking focal element).
Step 9: Finally, to bring in a tiny bit of red colour onto the pages, used watercolor pencils and a waterbrush.
